The initial high comes on quickly with a soothing euphoria and tranquility to lessen anxiety, depression, and stress. With a THC content often topping 20%, Fire OG moves deeply through the body providing relief from chronic severe aches, pain and muscle spasms while easing inflammation. Caution is advised for new or low tolerance users with this powerful medical strain as it is considered to be a low dose variety.

  • Indoor flowering time: 63-70 days

This strain can be grown indoors or in a greenhouse but is not recommended for new growers. It flowers between nine and ten weeks to a respectable sized yield that can contain THC percentages in the high 20′s. It’s CBD count is closer to that of an average strain with percentages sitting around 0.35 to 0.40%. True Fire OG Kush is available only in clone form

The plants grow to a medium height with light green leaves. The heavy, dense buds are covered in glittering crystals and red hairs which explain the ‘fire’ in the name. THC content has been measured in the lab at between 15 and 20%. Growers in northern Europe will find Fire OG genetics are suited to indoor growing, although if you’re somewhere with a Mediterranean climate it will thrive outdoors. Flowering time is from nine to 10 weeks. Let it flower for the full 10 weeks to produce top quality resinous buds. Harvest time is mid- to late-October and yields are in the medium range. The Fire OG strain requires some gardening skills to release its full potential, so beginners are best to try another strain. For those with the know-how and patience, this strain produces a highly potent crop with outstanding effects.

FLOWERING TIME: 9-10 weeks. YIELD: heavy, moderate. GROWING TIPS: recommended for intermediate to expert growers. We suggest letting this baby go to full term as bud swell and resin production double at the end of week 10 resulting in a super stony potent bud. Flip when the clone is about 12-14” tall and expect 3.5-4 foot tall plants.

History

Fire OG has an interesting history. It’s parents are that of high caliber; the famous Raskal’s cut of OG Kush and the F1 (first Gen. ) cut of San Fernando Valley OG Kush, an OG Kush decedent originating from – you guessed it: San Fernando Valley, California. SFV OG Kush essentially elevates the OG Kush body numbing effect with a powerful sativa-dominant hybrid high that won’t glue you to your couch and will provide pain relief, along with a lemon and piney aroma. The Raskal’s OG started out as Raskal’s flawless cut of straight OG Kush, which was then bred with Cali Connection’s F3 (third generation) SFV OG Kush cut. So interestingly SFV OG Kush appears twice in Fire OG. The Raskal’s OG adds a pungent, rank forest-like aroma with undertones of what I can only accurately relate to Chem Dog and Sour Diesel.

Additional Information

Widely regarded as the most potent of the OG strains, Fire OG Kush delivers some of the most frosted buds known to the medical marijuana community. Pristinely crossed with the original OG Kush strain and the F2 hybrid, San Fernando Valley OG Kush, Raskals OG has truly gifted the MMJ industry with one of the best medicinal strains around. These buds look like snow-covered mountains with dancing flames of wildfire sparsely strewn about the foliage.

The Fire OG strain is no longer the hot name on the cannabis menus it once was--after all, it is not purple and no one raps about it. However, don't let your guard down on this indica-dominant hybrid, this strain combines sativa and indica genetics with the indica genetics slightly to the fore (60% indica, 40% sativa). This old-school strain (by old school, I mean mid 2000s) has two great parents, OG Kush and San Fernando Valley OG (SFV OG), and is regarded by many to be the most potent OG Kush strain on the planet, often reaching THC levels of 20%+.
