Fruity Pebbles is the name given to strains that have the distinctive aroma of the popular breakfast cereal. No definitive parents exist but there seems to be a commonality in the Fruity Pebbles strains being slightly indica-dominant hybrids. The high is noted as well balanced, initially coming on as a slowing and calming of the mind, and then moving into a pleasant spacey forgetfulness and euphoria. Some notice that after the initial effects, Fruity Pebbles may deliver a slightly energizing boost. More indica-dominant versions will offer the deeper body relaxation that can end a day. Due to the current variability of Fruity Pebbles’ parents, users should approach this strain with an exploring attitude.

This type of marijuana can be very leafy if grown in an incorrect environment and growers need to take the time to cure it properly. If grown to perfection, this strain breaks down well for smoking and the outdoor grown strains usually cause fewer grievance for patients.

History

Alien Genetics also created a limited edition strain in April of 2012 called Fruity Pebbles OG. Packs of these seeds sold for $1,000-$1,500 each. The mother, a cross of Green Ribbon and Granddaddy Purps, was bred with a cross of Tahoe OG and Alien Kush. Fruity Pebbles OG has similar effects to the other Fruit Pebbles strains.

Additional Information

Strains going by the name Fruity Pebbles have been around since at least 2006, especially in dispensaries in California. They are always described as smelling just like the cereal of the same name. Most are labeled as a hybrid or sometimes slightly Indica-dominant. The true genetics of this strain do not exist, simply because there is no set lineage that all growers consistently use.

Fruity Pebbles is a hybrid medical marijuana strain that is best described as having very light green buds that possess one of the most generous amounts of crystals and trichomes possible. At times, if not cultivated in an appropriate environment or not cured the right way, Fruity Pebbles has the tendency to be very leafy. However, do not let the leafy nature of this strain fool you because amongst these buds there is an abundance of orange hairs throughout that can be seen once you break it out. With a very light and fruity taste, this strain can easily be analyzed as to why it is called Fruity Pebbles. Once you receive a jar or a bag of this strain, you will feel like you just opened a fresh box of Fruity Pebbles from the grocery store.

Fruity Pebbles is the name of one of the most fruity tasting strains of marijuana. It is an Indica dominant hybrid and bears an uncanny resemblance to the brand of breakfast cereal. It is a light green bud that is dusted with trichomes that look like tiny white spots. There is some purple in its lineage. The smell, like its name, is uniquely fruity and almost syrupy.
