This is an old strain from one of the finest hash-making cultivars from the Hindu Kush area. A favorite of growers due to its high yield, compact plants, and extreme resin production. The tight, resin-drenched flower clusters pack a powerful body-relaxing and narcotic effect, leaving even well-seasoned cannabis users unable to finish a joint. In general, Hash Plant is not suitable for daytime use or the inexperienced smoker, but those who love her tend to be very devoted.

  • Indoor flowering time: 42 days

This plant should be grown indoors in northern climates but can thrive outdoors in warm, dry, Mediterranean type climates. Growers love this strain because of its high yield in a compact plant (3-4 feet) that puts out copious amounts of resin. This is a great strain for making hash, hence the name. A short flowering time of 6 weeks is another attractive quality of this hearty strain.

Expect a short indica-type plant that averages 3-4 feet in height, with a gratifyingly quick finish, a pleasantly narcotic high, and of course, great hashmaking potential. While an indoor breed in the Dutch climate, this plant has fared well in dry latitudes such as the Mediterranean. All indoor growing methods are suitable, although Sensi growers like the hydro culture garden method best. Hash Plant is easy to clone, offering you a simple method of multiplying your success.

History

This potent bud has a long and storied history. It is originally from India and was taken to Afghanistan where it thrived. Most growers will claim Afghanistan as its origin. There have been several variations of Hash Plant over the years, but the one currently keeping the Hash Plant legend alive is a result of a cross between original Hash Plant and Northern Lights #1. This is nearly a pure Indica (90-100%)! Most experts agree that any Hash Plant strain must contain one or more pure Afghani strains in its heritage. This one qualifies because Northern Lights #1 is a genotype of the Super Afghanis. Seeds of this current strain are available through some of the better known European seed banks.

This precious Afghani is descended from one of the finest hash-making cultivars ever brought from the Hindu Kush to the west. Cannabis strains known generally as hash plants are found throughout the countries that border these mountains, but very few have the pedigree of this Hash Plant - a living definition of the stocky, chunky, beautifully sticky Afghanica genotype. The direct ancestor of Hash Plant was developed in the Northwest USA and came to Holland as a few carefully-transported female cuttings. Upon arrival, the tiny, fragile Hash Plant clones were given a safe home in the Sensi Seed Bank breeding labs, where this outstanding cultivar quickly proved her worth, becoming an important building-block in several other Sensi hybrids. Over the years, many experimental crosses were made in search of a pollen-father that could match up to the HP female and produce seeds worthy of the Hash Plant name. An equal partnership was eventually found in a male from Afghanicaʼs other royal family - the Northern Lights line. A 50/50 HP x NL#1 father was back-crossed to the original HP mother, which gave us the 75% HP-25% NL hybrid. Of all our breeding experiments, this crossing produced the strongest specimens by far — with even experienced Dutch smokers having trouble finishing a single joint. Thus the Hash Plant seed strain was born.

Additional Information

Hash Plant stays compact during her extra-short flowering time. Her tight, resin- drenched flower clusters develop a brittle surface when dried and give off a deep, rich Afghani aroma thatʼs undercut with a hint of hashish. When smoked, her dominant flavour is the spicy-sharp bite of smouldering resin glands, a sensation which quickly becomes indistinguishable from her effect. The instant vaporization of those layers of sparkling trichomes accelerates Hash Plantʼs rapid, blissful and breathtakingly powerful body-stone.
